The Prototype Expansion Card KIT002 enhances the flexibility of the Novaduino® Display (refer to KIT001) by enabling expansion through accessible breadboard space. It provides connections to nearly all Feather Processor pins, as well as pins for the display and front panel controls. Furthermore, the Proto Expansion Card allows integration of an Arduino Uno Processor, or most other processors, as an alternative to installing a processor directly on the Novaduino Display PCB. The card also accommodates Feather Wings or an Arduino Shield, supporting expanded modularity for your projects. Comprehensive documentation is included to facilitate the development of custom Expansion Cards compatible with the Novaduino Display and enclosure platform.

• The expansion area measures 100mm by 120mm, connects to the Novaduino® Display, and is compatible with a Hammond 1455N metal enclosure. Alternatively, it may be used without an enclosure when paired with the optional stand kit.
• Two 40-pin backplane connectors provide complete interface to the Novaduino® Display PCBA.
• Space is supplied for a 2-row x 17-pin breadboard, or the entire area can accommodate a larger breadboard.
• A Feather Processor and Feather Wing can be mounted on the Expansion Card to drive the display through the backplane.
• It is also possible to mount a full-size Arduino Uno or Mega on the Expansion Card; note that 3.3v/5v level translators are required to operate the display, key processor, and touch controller in this configuration.

The Novaduino® Ultrasonic Garage Assistant Kit* uses a Maxbotix MB1010 ultrasonic sensor, a Feather Processor, a Novaduino® Display PCBA along with a 2.4-inch color TFT LCD display module to sense and display the distance to your car or any other object and to alert you when it is within a range that you program. It can sense distances between 6 inches and beyond 200 inches with a 1-inch resolution*. The sensor is connected to the Novaduino® Display via a nice and flexible 6-foot cable.  Mount the sensor a few feet above your garage floor to be in line with the front of your car and then mount the Novaduino® Display unit at eye level where you can clearly and safely see it from within your car while parking*. Park your car in its ideal location and then adjust the max distance on the Ultra Garage Assistant so that the range display turns green and then adjust the min distance where the range display background turns red.  Then each time you park your car, keep it within the green threshold distance.
